Each web site is run by a manager who has worked his way up through
the web direct brands ranks. Each manager then teaches interns the day-to-day operations
of their online store. Managers are responsible for everything from order fulfillment
and customer service to marketing and site development and vendor relationships.
Web Direct Brands also has technical and marketing staff to assist
all managers with project realization. During the first semester the intern will
be assisting a manager with all aspects of work. If invited to return for a second
semester, an intern may have the chance to develop their own start-up site. These
sites are developed using the same principles and management as the existing, flourishing
web direct brands e-tailers. Past the second semester, the opportunity exists for
further development within the web direct brands team.
Video Production Internship Team
The Video Production Internship Team Members will be responsible for collaborating with management and marketing to produce short instructional videos, which will be published on company websites. The Team Members will work with each Store Marketing Manager to plan each video segment by producing storyboards and dialogues for each segment for approval by management. The Team Members will also be responsible for assisting in the shooting and editing of each segment. Subject matter will vary from simple tasks to complex installations. The applicants must be comfortable collaborating on the projects, and be able to facilitate the planning, setup, approval, recording, and editing of each video segment. Internship positions are part-time, semester long (approximately four months) positions with flexible hours to accommodate class schedules.
